Broadway star, recording and concert artist Craig Schulman is thrilled to announce the creation of a new performing arts charity/scholarship fund based out of Yorktown, New York. The fund, to be known as "Jenna’s Dream", is named for Mr. Schulman’s late 6 year-old daughter. The aim of Jenna’s Dream is to provide scholarships to deserving children to attend Yorktown Stage’s Summer Arts Camp program, and to provide scholarship money to a local outstanding high school senior planning to attend college in a performing arts program. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local service organization in the name of the Yorktown area families who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.

While starring in the Yorktown Stage production of Fiddler On The Roof in March of 2001, Craig shared the story of the loss of his daughter in 1998. Moved by this devastating tragedy, the cast and crew of Fiddler dedicated their final performance to the memory of Jenna Schulman. Using money donated by the performers and crew, members of the company pledged to start a performing arts fund in Jenna’s name.

Schulman is the only performer in the world to have performed three of the most extraordinary musical theatre characters ever written. He has appeared in the title roles of Jekyll & Hyde: Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom Of The Opera; nearly 2,000 performances of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables on Broadway and around the world. Mr. Schulman has sung on The Rosie O’Donnell Show, NBC Weekend Today and Guiding Light. Schulman moves freely between the worlds of Broadway, opera and symphonic pops programs, and is the creator and producer of the BROADWAY NIGHTS™ Concert Series. A long-time Yorktown resident, he is married to prominent voice teacher Monica Robinson they are the proud parents of two sons and a daughter.

Board members for Jenna’s Dream include Broadway actress Chris Jamison, President; Craig Schulman, Vice President; Yorktown Stage’s Company Manager Ingrid Bakis; Summer Arts Camp Director Kim Solow, Treasurer; Executive Producer of Yorktown Stage Barry Liebman; actor and business professional Steve Westcott (Secretary), Dania Sweitzer, Arlene Weinstein, Rose DeSiena and Pat McAulay. Most of the board members were involved in some capacity during Fiddler On The Roof this past March. Their "dream" is now becoming a reality with the formation of Jenna’s Dream.
